Emerging Concepts and Practices in Post-Harvest Management of Horticultural Crops Revisited

This paper offers a comprehensive account on the emerging concepts and practices in post-harvest management of horticultural crops. Post-harvest science technology facilitates industries to deliver safe, nutritious fresh products consumers at end supply chain from farm mouth. Substantial food wastages, which occur period such losses, could be reduced by improved research, advancement, training education. At present, many novel technologies techniques are already being implemented reduce losses witnessed harvesting, during packing transportation, wholesale retail markets, delays various levels handling. Improvements also required minimize effectively keep process-cost low so that it applicable commercial scale wide range economic levels. By developing utilized phase, expenses accompanying for additional processing paces reduced. Future studies should focused incorporating with appropriate adopted an existing value marketing system.
